Student Scholarship Recipient Focuses on Student Leadership, Athletics, and Helping Others in the Community
Miroslaw Wierzbicki, a rising senior who is studying electrical engineering, is the proud recipient of the Charles C. Ely Education Fund scholarship. The Charles C. Ely Education Fund was established through the Will of Charles Ely, and has been granted to multiple deserving Wentworth students each year since the mid-2000’s. This scholarship is granted to students with financial need to help them achieve their academic goals and to pursue a career in a field of their choice.
Miroslaw participated in an eight-week interactive course that focused on enhancing Capacity, Commitment, and Character and honed leadership skills that he was able to share with others. Through the years, he has used his athletic talent as a volleyball player to help strengthen his character and to develop healthy habits in academics, and be an active member of the Wentworth community. He also spends time working with the Polish community.
Miroslaw shared that, "receiving this generous scholarship created a pathway for continuing my education despite family financial constraints which were greatly impacted by the pandemic." He has goals and ambitions for his future which include graduating from Wentworth with high honors. Miroslaw is working this summer in a co-op position as a System Engineer for Eversource.
Miroslaw is very grateful for the generosity of donors who direct their philanthropic support towards students as they navigate their undergraduate coursework.
