Gregory’s path after graduation was anything but linear — from commuting to the LEGO Model Shop, to bartending full time, to briefly working in retail design before ultimately returning to LEGO, where he has built a long-term career as a Senior Model Designer. His passion for drawing and building led him to industrial design, and the critique-driven studio culture at Wentworth became the foundation of his professional growth
After graduation, Dominic dove into the startup world, quickly advancing from software engineer to senior roles while mentoring others and shaping company culture. Today, Dominic combines his love for technology and adventure by working remotely as a contract engineer, building his own company, ScheduleLab, and living nomadically around the globe. His story is a testament to the power of co-op experiences, lifelong learning, and the confidence to embrace new opportunities.
Architect and educator Tullio Inglese ’60 has been recognized with the Amherst Area Chamber of Commerce’s Lifetime Achievement Award for his transformative contributions to ecological architecture and mentorship. The A+ Awards celebrate excellence, impact and legacy and the Lifetime Achievement Award celebrates individuals whose work has shaped the Amherst, MA community and inspired future generations.
Some careers follow a straight line. Others, like Ben Granlund ’08, MARC ‘09, carve a path through creativity, reinvention, and bold experimentation. Ben shared with Wentworth insights into his journey and reflected on navigating burnout, balancing multiple passions, and redefining success on his own terms.
Thaddeus (Ted) Prorok BC ’65, AE ’66, AAS ’72, was honored at the Massachusetts State House on May 22, 2025, during the inaugural Military Appreciation Day—a new annual tradition celebrating servicemembers, veterans, military families, and advocates across the Commonwealth.
Nominated by State Representative Josh Tarksky of the 13th Norfolk District, Ted was one of approximately 145 honorees recognized for their service and dedication. A Life Member and Post Adjutant of the Lt. Manson H. Carter VFW Post 2498 in Needham, MA, Ted has long been a pillar of his local veteran community.
On a picture-perfect Saturday during Wentworth Weekend, alumni, students, and families gathered for one of the event’s most inspiring highlights—the “Where Are They Now?” alumni panel. This much-anticipated discussion brought together graduates spanning the decades of Wentworth’s one-of-a-kind, 50-year co-op program, offering a vibrant conversation about careers, mentorship, and the power of hands-on learning.
Adrianna is a senior majoring in biomedical engineering who has a bright future ahead of her. As a dedicated student, she has always wanted to help people in the medical field. Her grandmother had a prosthetic leg, and she worked as a personal care attendant for a woman with multiple sclerosis who used an implant to release baclofen into her body at a set rate.
Taylor Sartwell graduated this summer with the Class of 2023. Taylor majored in mechanical engineering and minored in manufacturing while studying at Wentworth.

Hayley Devine is majoring in biological engineering and will graduate from Wentworth in 2024. A rising senior, Hayley will be on co-op this fall working with Seres Therapeutics.
A number of Class of 1973 alumni gathered in Watson Auditorium on May 20 to be honored for their time at Wentworth Institute of Technology, and to mark 50 years since graduating. Some have gone on to successful careers in engineering, business, and other fields. Others have stayed connected to their alma mater through industry partnerships or gifts over the years.

Tedi Qafko is a hardworking student studying Electrical Engineering with plans to graduate next year.
He shared that receiving an endowed scholarship has provided him with an opportunity to pursue a dream of graduating from college and doing what he loves. He has immersed himself in his studies and carved time to participate in extracurricular activities.
Wentworth's development of 500 Huntington Avenue has entered its next stage with the Huntington Development Group filing a Project Notification Form (PNF) with the City of Boston and the university filing its 2023-2033 Institutional Master Plan Notification Form.
The Boston Globe covered the news and highlighted the fact that the 640,000-square-foot, two-building complex will be developed by two Black-owned businesses and feature life sciences labs, and ground-floor retail and restaurant spaces.

Gabe Gomez is a recipient of the Flatley Discovery Endowed Scholarship which is awarded to deserving students who are majoring in biomedical engineering, biological engineering, or applied sciences and live in the city of Boston. The Flatley Foundation is a generous donor to the university and believes in the potential of our students and recognizes the barriers many students face in trying to afford higher education.

Miroslaw Wierzbicki, a rising senior who is studying electrical engineering, is the proud recipient of the Charles C. Ely Education Fund scholarship. The Charles C. Ely Education Fund was established through the Will of Charles Ely, and has been granted to multiple deserving Wentworth students each year since the mid-2000’s.
There is no doubt that Wentworth Institute of Technology has a history of educating and guiding wonderful students throughout a rigorous four years, no matter the discipline. Within moments the senior class will be graduating, as they have for many a year, and as they will for many years to come.
Chaise Kakuk, a class of 2023 Construction Management student, and native of Laguna Niguel, California, is the proud recipient of the Shawmut Design and Construction Scholarship. Chaise is a dedicated student who participates on the volleyball team, tutors her peers, is an active member of the Construction Management Club, and gives back to the community surrounding campus.
From the ice to the volleyball court, soccer field, and softball diamond, Wentworth’s Class of 2022 Athletics Hall of Fame inductees are a fine example of versatility.
